Description:
The Lake County Historical Society invites you to be our guest at the Lighthouse Bed & Breakfast. Perched on the rocky shoreline overlooking Lake Superior and Agate Bay, the Lighthouse Bed & Breakfast offers an overnight experience like no other. Bask in the historic flavor of this over 100 year old lighthouse then explore the diverse recreational opportunities the North Shore has to offer.
The Lighthouse has common rooms open to all of our guests. There's a living room that's perfect for a little quiet time or mingling with other travelers, a dining room and a kitchen. The bathroom is shared and is as unique as the rest of the historic property.
There are three distinctive private rooms from which to choose, each with a view of Lake Superior that truly defies description.
The Keeper's room: Facing south, the view from this room is a panorama of Lake Superior, framed by the front yard and outbuildings on the grounds.
The Forest Room: You can watch the sun rise through the woods over Lake Superior in this largest of our private rooms.
The Harbor Room: This room offers views of Lake Superior sunsets, giant ore boats and the harbor where they dock.
The Skiff House, a separate cottage, has a beautiful view of Agate Bay & Lake Superior. The decor is North Shore Rustic. Private bathroom facilities. Breakfast in the Lighthouse with the other guests. Use of the common rooms in the Lighthouse are open to all of the guests.
